Susan Pomfret MA, LMT
Susan Pomfret and Swedish Sedona
Beginning my career in San Francisco at the Massage Institute of California in 1976, I trained at the Institute as an instructor as well and I have taught ever since. I have a passion for creating and teaching material that is easy to learn and enjoyable. I have contributed my talents to Southwest Institute of Healing Arts, Phoenix Therapeutic Massage College, and Central Arizona College.
It was at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts that Swedish Sedona evolved into the form it takes today. With a childhood background in dance, I knew that proper movement would create ease for the practitioner and increase the effectiveness of the massage for the receiver. I honed my teaching skills through instructing hundreds of students. The material is presented in a way that is easy to comprehend for all types of learners.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Organizational Development from Ottawa University. I have worked at Four- and Five-Star resorts in Arizona and California and have a private practice in Phoenix.
My two grown daughters, Bea and Nicole, grew up with lots of massage! Whether you use Swedish Sedona professionally or with friends and family, I hope you will find closeness and joy in your massage experience!
